Full Details

This stylish and beautifully presented home sits in a small hamlet in the heart of the South Hams countryside. Surrounded by unspoilt rolling fields and less than 3 miles from Bigbury-on-Sea, Glebe House combines rural tranquillity with the ability to easily access the wonderful sandy beaches on the South Devon coast.

The closest village is St Ann's Chapel which has a shop and post office. The small and delightful Georgian market town of Modbury is around a 10 minute drive and offers a good range of local shops including a butcher, baker, grocers, hardware store, chemist, delicatessen and a number of gift shops, cafes and art galleries. Other amenities include a primary school, health centre, dentist, veterinary surgery and two pubs

The current owners have extended and renovated Glebe House creating an impressive home and enhancing the beautiful period detailing such as panelled doors, sash windows, tall ceilings and cornicing.

A contemporary kitchen extension compliments the original house and has full width bi-fold doors to the sun terrace. Off the kitchen is a spacious utility / boot room and downstairs shower room. The elegant drawing room has an open fire with marble surround and there is a sitting room off the kitchen. The first floor has 4 bedrooms, a shower room and bathroom. Outside, the gardens have been thoughtfully designed for outdoor entertaining with a floodlit petanque pitch and a dovecot with heating and power.

In all, Glebe House offers the opportunity of a lifestyle in a high quality house nestled in the beautiful South Hams countryside close to the sea.
