Eastdown is a small rural hamlet approximately six miles from the pretty waterside town of Dartmouth which has an excellent range of shopping and marina facilities and lies at the mouth of the spectacular River Dart, famous as a sailing centre and home to Britannia Royal Naval College. From Kingsbridge take the A381 Totnes Road. After about 6 miles turn right at Totnes Cross Filling Station on to the A3122 signposted Dartmouth. Continue on this road for about 2 miles and at Oldstone Cross turn right signposted Strete, Slapton and Torcross. Continue along this lane for about 2 miles, taking the right hand turn to Eastdown. Proceed down the lane and the cottage will be found after a short distance on the right hand side.
